John Black, Audit Partner and Head of Natural Resources and Energy
John is Head of Natural Resources & Energy at RPG Crouch Chapman, with more than 15 years’ experience delivering audit and assurance services to complex listed groups and private clients. For the past decade he has specialised in capital markets with audit and transaction-related services, including reporting accountant roles and assurance for deals and fundraisings.
He brings extensive experience across global exchanges—LSE, TSX, ASX and others—and a background spanning regional practice through to Big 4 and Top 10 firms.
John worked in a natural resources and energy sector-specialised team before joining RPGCC, most notably supporting the largest natural resource IPO in Canada since 2010. He has previously spent 10 years with the auditor ranked number one in the natural resources and energy sector. He has led audits for international groups, from exploration through to producing assets with multi-billion-dollar revenues, and is also active in renewables including solar and wind. He is passionate about helping natural resources and energy businesses unlock the capital needed to develop their assets by providing high-quality audit and assurance that builds investor trust.
