Financial Awareness Training with Wes Mason and Matt King
RPGCC’s Wes Mason, Partner and Matt King, Director at RPG Crouch Chapman Financial Services Limited were delighted to be invited by Simon Coulson of Internet Business School LLP to present at a Financial Awareness Training day attended by a cohort of likeminded individuals on 25 April 2023 at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel.
Matt started the day focusing on how RPG Crouch Chapman Financial Services help and add value to clients, assisting with the accumulation of wealth whilst ensuring protection of their wealth into decumulation through pensions, investments, insurance, IHT and Estate Planning and financial well-being checks as well as arranging suitable insurance for all business owners (including Key Man and Shareholder Protection).
Matt commented “It was a fantastic opportunity to join Simon on his Financial Awareness Training day and present to an enthusiastic audience on the services we provide, a tough thing to do in 90 minutes! I extend my thanks to Simon for organising the training day and his commitment to promoting financial awareness. The event provided valuable insights and networking opportunities, contributing to the professional growth of all attendees. Wes had a somewhat harder gig with the slot that all speakers dread, the first session after lunch – especially when you are talking about tax! Wes focused his attention on business structuring and property investment, covering overall tax rates payable dependent on structures used and the variety of tax reliefs possible – including Capital Allowances, R&D Relief, and the uses of losses – dependent on the structure used. Wes then moved on to personal and corporate investments in property portfolios covering the tax advantages attached to furnished holiday lets, before closing with legacy planning options focusing on inheritance tax efficient investments, family investment companies and Trusts.
On completing his somewhat difficult slot, Wes added, “It was an absolute delight to be invited by Simon to join him today, tax, business structuring, legacy and property investment planning is never going to be an exciting presentation and I cannot thank the audience enough for staying awake and for their interaction and questions. The feedback we received has been amazing and I am delighted that the session was valuable and insightful.
